In short
CASE.03.BThe site learned it would take over a returns process with a week to go. The line had to be adapted, the flow reversed to fit the conveyor, and every instructor and associate trained before the first volume arrived.
The sprint covered the line, the flow, the training material, and new sortation areas for each product category. On day seven the process was live.
The work did not stop at launch. Over the following months the workstation layout, audit routines, scanners and reporting were improved step by step. The process went on to set a worldwide productivity record, and the European target for every site was raised by 10% as a result.
